Itinerary - Golden Triangle Tour with Udaipur

Day 1- Delhi Sightseeing
We will pick you up from your hotel/ residence and start our sightseeing tour of Delhi. Which is India’s capital city. This city has made and destroyed many times; during British rule in the year 1911. The city proclaimed to be the capital of India. The Qutub Minar constructed in the year 1199 and stands 72.5 metres, tall. The brick minaret has many more interesting historical structures in the Qutub complex. Your learned guide will explain in detail about all these. We proceed on to explore Humayun’s tomb a grand mausoleum dedicated to Mughal king Humayun. The garden is four-quartered and very symmetrical. The Red sandstone edifice looks similar to the Taj Mahal constructed 80 years before the Taj Mahal.

Now is the time for lunch and we proceed to an Indian restaurant for a sumptuous meal. After the meal, we explore the Lutyens Delhi built in the early 20th century. Delhi was the capital of the British Raj. The wide roads lined with floral and fruit trees, the residence of the erstwhile viceroy. Now known as Rashtrapati Bhawan. The World War 1st memorial made in memory of those Indian soldiers. Who laid their lives in World War 1 India Gate recently was in the news. A stall statue of iconic Indian freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose inaugurated.
The evening is for exploring an old market famous for its up-market stores and eateries Connaught Place. It’s very symmetrical in architecture and is the downtown of the Delhi metropolitan. Overnight at Delhi.

Today early morning we drive to the old part of the Delhi city, we visit a beautiful mosque built by Mughal emperor Shahjahan as he shifted his capital from Agra to a city made on the banks of river Yamuna. The Jama masjid with its towering domes and spires is most impressive of Indian mosques. Explore the narrow lanes of old delhi and a vibrant spice market riding a human drawn rickshaw. 

Enjoy a sumptuous lunch later drive to the airport to catch an Udaipur bound flight, arrive at Udaipur airport as our representative welcomes you and leads you to your respective hotel. Overnight in Udaipur.

After breakfast we start the sightseeing of Udaipur city with a visit to the city palace a picturesque multi storied palace on the bank of lake pichola, the palace has an array of multiple chambers displaying an impressive collection of antiques, miniatures and paintings, these royal chambers and courtyards are interconnected via narrow staircases and alleys.

Multicolored glass pieces make a dancing peacock at Mor Mahal. The terrace has a courtyard with huge shady trees. After city palace we explore a 17th century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Jagdish temple is an edifice constructed in Indo Aryan style of architecture. The walls and the temple have an exotic depiction of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.

After lunch we visit a beautiful garden (Saheliyon ki bari) made by Maharana Sangram Singh, garden of maidens is replete with working fountains and lush green lawns.

This is the time to experience an amazing sunset on the placid waters of lake pichola, enjoy a romantic boat ride on the serene waters of the lake.

After the boat ride join in for an eventful evening at Bagore ki haveli a fascinating museum displaying the Rajasthani culture and architecture, enjoy a live show based on local culture and traditions. Overnight at Udaipur.

After checking out from hotel we proceed on a drive to Jaipur, this will take around 6-7 hours, highway is excellent and drive is smooth. On arrival in Jaipur, check in to your respective hotel. After refreshing up proceed on to visit  a Hindu temple and attend an evening Arti (Prayer) the Birla temple is a marble crafted edifice with long towering spires, the Hindu temple has images of Hindu gods and Goddesses crafted on the walls. Overnight at Jaipur.

Early morning after breakfast we start exploring the city of Jaipur with a visit to the Amber fort, the fort is situated a short drive from Jaipur. If interested you can ride a caparisoned elephant to reach the Gulab chowk. The high walls of the Amber fort are impressive and impregnable the inner part is no less impressive there is an array of palaces, courts, places of congregation, temple etc enjoy a detailed sightseeing with your knowledgeable guide. Stop at the lake palace to click  instagram worthy pictures, the palace is situated in the midst of a lake. After lunch we go for sightseeing of city palace a grand palatial complex amidst the walled city of Jaipur. The city palace was the residence of the kachhwaha Rajputs of Jaipur. explore the  antiques, fire arms,paintings, furniture etc from the bygone era.

King Sawai Raja Jai Singh II had an avid interest in astrology and astronomy, he made five centers with  period instruments to study stars and constellations one of those centre is very near to the city palace this is known as  Jantar mantar, get amused and hear the narration about these old instrument still working with age old technique. Stop before the hawa Mahal an icon from the pink city a five storied palace built to facilitate the royal women who wanted to see the royal processions without being noticed. The palace has multiple stories of bee hive shaped windows these windows had the royal women watching the processions and market activities without being noticed by outsiders. Enjoy an evening colored with Rajasthani culture at Chokhi Dhani. Overnight at Jaipur.

After breakfast complete your checkout formalities and start your journey to Agra a travel of around 5 hours from Jaipur en-route stop at Fatehpur sikri popularly known as the Ghost city. King Akbar constructed the city of fatehpur sikri as he was blessed by the Sufi saint Salim chisti, a complete city with large markets, gardens and palaces was made in a time span of 13 years later due to various reasons the town was abandoned and is known as the Ghost city, see the exotic stone sculpted architecture at Diwan e khas. Anup talao, Panch Mahal and Jodha Bai’s palace. Continue your drive to Agra on arrival check in at respective hotel.

This beautiful marble edifice also known as a love memorial was built by Mughal king Shahjahan in memory of his favourite wife, she died in 1630 and the mausoleum of Mumtaj Mahal (Rauza E Munawwara) was completed in 1653 at a costly 30 million gold coins.
